What you'll be doing
- Perform clerical duties within the department, including maintenance of client file and record under the direction of the therapist. Assist in scheduling, transporting and preparation of client for rehabilitation service. Conduct maintenance therapy program and restorative nursing program established by therapist and under the direct supervision of therapist and nursing personnel. Maintain documentation of such program in specified nursing center location. Observe client for any change in status and report same to therapist. Ensure the safety of client. Adjust equipment upon request and under the direction of the therapist. Clean and maintenance of treatment area, according to all specific safety and infection control policies and procedure.
What your background should be
- Minimum of one year experience as physical therapy aide and occupational technician or another health related profession. Certification as a Nursing Assistant is also preferred. Basic knowledge of rehabilitation services machine operation, maintenance and repairs of same. Should have knowledge in decision making, problem solving and team building skills. BLS certification is preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
