What you'll be doing

Evaluates and provides therapeutic intervention for patients requesting mental health services utilizing short-term solution oriented individual, marital, family, and/or group psychotherapy, and/or biofeedback, using verbal communication and testing skills. Communicates effectively outside agencies regarding treatment plans for referring agencies and outside providers; this may include preparation of written clinical reports and/or consultations. Provides crisis intervention services as needed; determines appropriateness of hospitalization; assesses patient potential for lethality, using verbal communication when interfacing w/patients and/or community agencies. Must be able to sit majority of day during patient evaluation and psychotherapy sessions. In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors and principles defined by the company service quality credo, the and mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to the members and to the purchasers, contracted providers and vendors.

What your background should be

2 years post masters or 1 year of post-doctoral practice experience under appropriate supervision in applied psychotherapy or marriage and family therapy Colorado licensure as a licensed clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist or licensed professional counselor.

Required Schooling / Training

Masters or doctoral degree or its equivalent.
