What you'll be doing
- The individual will be responsible for the provision of academic detailing and medication review service to the department of healthcare and family service. This will include assuring the completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of drug therapy for specific healthcare and family service client, consulting with medical provider with respect to recommendation for improved patient medical therapy, documenting communication with provider, providing interpretation of drug related information when requested and when appropriate, and supervising the daily activity of supportive nonprofessional personnel. Conduct drug utilizations review studies when requested. Supervise the daily activity of supportive nonprofessional personnel and pharmacy student.
What your background should be
- Must have the ability to understand and apply pharmacy therapeutic principle to individual patient care situation through consult. Highly preferred strong clinical knowledge base; analytical and problem solving skill; strong verbal and written communication skill; demonstrate flexibility and ability to work independently and adapt to a changing work environment; excellent planning, time management and organizational skill.
Required Schooling / Training
- Graduate from an accredited college of pharmacy.
