What you'll be doing

Provide assistance in the development and implementation of the plan of care. Perform basic patient care and treatment including but not limited to; taking blood pressure reading, wound care, measure of vital sign, collection of blood sample or administration of prescribed medication, in accordance with the physician treatment plan, individual plan of care or as authorized by the client pay or source. Observe, document, and timely report any change in the client condition to the appropriate personnel and physician. Provide ongoing instruction and education of client health care plan to family and other health team personnel.

What your background should be

Experience as a practical or vocational nurse in a hospital, nursing home, or home care setting within the last three years is preferred. Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedure. Ability to provide care to patient at remote location and demonstrate good nursing judgment with minimum supervision. Ability to deal effectively and courteously with client, family, and coworker. Ability to interact and exhibit an empathetic attitude toward the sick and elderly. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Required Schooling / Training

Graduation from an approved school of practical or vocational nursing.
