Information System Security Officer

What you'll be doing: Ensure all IS operate, maintain and dispose of in accordance with security policy and practice outlined in the customer. Ensure that all user have the requisite security clearance, authorization and need to know and aware of their security responsibility before they grant access to the IS. Initiate protective and corrective measure when a security incident or vulnerability discover. Monitor system recovery process and ensure the proper restoration of an IS security feature. Ensure configuration management (CM) for security relevant IS software, hardware and firmware document and maintain. Support authorization activity throughout the SAA process ensure that system security requirement compile with. Establish audit trail and ensure their review and make them available, when required, to the chief security officer (CSO) or the information system security manager (ISSM). Retain audit log in accordance with department of justice (DOJ), office of director of national intelligence (ODNI) and/or FBI policy. Ensure awareness and precautionary measure exercise to prevent introduction and/or proliferation of malicious code. Manage review and release of media and/or memory.

What your background should be: Information assurance security professional that possesses at least 5 years of IA security consulting experience. The regional ISSO candidate is required to have the certified information system security professionals (CISSP) certification in active status. Candidate must have an active top secret clearance and amenable to a SCI clearance (POLY) to be conducted by the FBI. Detail NIST knowledge. Detail FISMA knowledge. Hands on C&A experience. System administrator skills (hands-on/detail). Able to complete SSP, POA&M, support audits. Able to multi task, delivery on time and with quality. Able to handle stressful situations (if applicable). Excellent communication skills required.
