Shift Custodial Team Leader

What you'll be doing: Perform routine manual labor associated with cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds including, but not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming, washing, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and refinishing floor, polishing furniture, dusting, cleaning windows, furniture, wall and fixture shampooing carpet, cleaning rest room and removing trash. Perform work requiring climbing on ladder, scaffolding and extended aerial platforms as appropriate. Exhibit considerable knowledge of hand and power tool, material, method and standard practice used in the custodial and maintenance trade. Ensure the maintenance of assigned equipment and a safe, clean assigned work area. Perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as may be designated by the head custodian and his designee.

What your background should be: Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for work to be performed. Ability to follow written and oral instruction. Ability to assume various duties required of a physically demanding job. Certification of good health signed by the school department physician. Proven ability to work in a polite and friendly manner with many different publics. Must possess a sense of humor.
