What you'll be doing
- Utilize common tools and techniques to drive effective testing, including quality center to record and execute test cases and manage defects. Develops, publishes, and implements test plans to test data transfer from Oracle based data warehouse application into Teradata environment. Experience in testing analytics reports based on business requirements. Create test data to support planned testing. Assist with functional, systems and integration testing as needed. Responsible for the development, review of test strategies, test plans and test cases. Create test documentation for the enterprise projects. Ensure traceability between requirements and test scripts is established and maintained. Prepare evidence review document for business review. Manage test issue and risk identification, tracking and escalation. Ensure test support needs are proactively identified and addressed. Report status of testing progress and results.
What your background should be
- Minimum 8 years of experience in QA testing. At least 2 years of data warehouse experience. Experience in Oracle is required. Experience in Teradata will be useful. Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries is required. Must have an extensive working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies. Past experience with quality center, ALM and TOAD preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in computer science, or related discipline with an IT focus preferred OR equivalent years of progressive experience.
