What you'll be doing

Maintain client record including responsibility for recording information on client behavior, need, or problem based on available documentation, direct observation, and client report. Monitor client behavior by providing program check and other program coverage as assigned. Perform client related housekeeping duties in the program as assigned. Identify issue that pose a safety and health risk to the shift supervisor. Engaging and effectively communicating with homeless mental ill individual. Provide direct care service in the skills of daily living. Act as member of the program interdisciplinary team. Performing related work as required.

What your background should be

Applicant must have at least one year of full time or equivalent part time experience in providing direct care service to the mentally ill, emotionally or physically handicapped or any equivalent combination of the required experience. Ability to follow written and oral instruction. Ability to gather information through observing and questioning individual. Ability to communicate effectively in oral expression. Ability to interact with people who are under physical and emotional stress. Ability to work in a team setting and in-group situation.

Required Schooling / Training

Associate degree or higher with a major in psychology, human services, mental health or retardation discipline.
