What you'll be doing

Provides services using all phases of diagnostic general radiology and to obtain a permanent record of all data used and interpreted by a physician. Provides quality care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, while performing therapeutic and diagnostic imaging through patient education, appropriate skill, and knowledge. Demonstrates ability to perform equipment manipulation and function for the purpose of producing quality diagnostic images. Maintains and provides accurate patient history and diagnostic information for treatment and management of patient care. Mentors students and acts as student preceptors.

What your background should be

Registered or qualified to take the registry exam by the american registry of radiologic technologists. Must become registered within six months of date of hire. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to problem-solving. Recognizes differences in care and imaging of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups. Physically capable of standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting up to 40 pounds.
