What you'll be doing

Facilitate centralized oversight of employee relations activities across the company, including proactive improvement efforts, complaint investigations, and remedial intervention efforts. Serve as the primary system administrator for company's case management software system. This will include monitoring the system for new cases, assigning cases to internal investigators, and ensuring investigators follow-up on cases in a timely manner with proper documentation. Conduct, or assist in conducting, prompt, thorough, and well documented investigations of employee complaints. Assess the merits of complaints based on investigation findings and make recommendations that appropriately balance the needs of the affected employees, the company, and any legal compliance considerations. Develop and compile appropriate management reports and analytics related to employee relations complaint activity. As requested, assist legal counsel with the investigation of and response to administrative charges from local, state, and federal agencies. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the investigation and resolution of employee and candidate complaint activity. Provide training to internal investigators as needed. Serve as a team member of the fair employment practices committee. Identify and communicate ideas for on-going employee and supervisory training based on employee complaint/charge activity and other anecdotal data. Responsible for the fair and equal treatment of all employees and candidates with regard to all aspects of employment, regardless of any protected characteristics. Maintain appropriate confidentiality at all times.
