What you'll be doing

The accounting analyst is responsible for review of client contracts and revenue recognition, prepare SEC and other regulatory filings, administration of stock compensation, EPS calculation, key participant of the flash financial reporting, support audit including PBC, quarterly balance sheet and expense analytics, serves as the primary backup for consolidations and inter company accounting and other special projects as assigned. Prepares internal and external financial reports, including SEC and compliance financial statements for various states. Researches technical accounting as it relates to SEC and GAAP requirements. Administers options/FAS123R/EPS calculations. Updates existing or establish new accounting policies. Prepares complex analyses including balance sheet and income statement flux analysis. Reviews revenue contracts and determines revenue recognition. Supports external audit requirements, including quarterly analytics of balance sheet and expense. Prepares earnings release schedules. Prepares or updates company SOX narratives and leads implementation. Leads or participates in system upgrades and or integrations and overall process and system improvement. Prepares schedules for the monthly/quarterly period-end closes, including flash reporting. Handles various ad-hoc or special projects as assigned. Primary backup for consolidation of company legal entities financial reports. Primary backup intercompany and elimination entries. Supports the finance manager in the preparation of tax and debt related entries, cash flow statements and other tasks as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

5-8 years of professional level experience in a public accounting firm or in a public/private combination. Strong technical accounting knowledge that includes an in-depth understanding of GAAP, SEC and SOX. Excellent analytical, detail, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Well-developed excel skills and a working knowledge of financial and reporting systems. Possess strong attention to detail and also able to have a big picture perspective. Able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds. Well-organized and manage multiple priorities. Able to work independently and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Physical requirements sit/stand/walk 8-12hr/day lift/carry/push/pull under and over 10lbs occasionally. Keying frequency, handling, reaching, fine manipulation.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree, preferably in accounting CPA preferred but not required.
