What you'll be doing
- Supervising direct patient care in compliance with nurse practice act, care plans of physicians verbal orders and nursing care plans. Manages and coordinates patient multi-disciplinary care needs, re-evaluates the needs of the patients, initiates the plan of care and intervenes or revises when appropriate. Communicates changes in conditions of the patients to appropriate staff/care coordinators, director of nursing, and/or weekend staff, orally or in writing, as needed. Prepares comprehensive certification (initial assessments), and re-certifications in the specified time frame as per agency policy. Other duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Registered nurse in the state of Texas. Minimum of one year experience as a registered nurse. One year experience in a home health care setting, highly preferred. One year experience in hospital setting highly preferred.
