What you'll be doing

Maintain leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials. Recommend, estimate, and complete required repairs per company policy. Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles complex components work and interact. Perform routine service inspections, test, and lubricate engines and other major components. Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well as in the diagnostics arena. Know and adhere to safety and environmental standards for maintenance/repair facilities. Mentor or train other, less qualified, technicians in maintenance/repair activity when required. Assist on other aspects of store operations.

What your background should be

Five or more years of tire and automotive experience. Expert level proficiency in alignments, brakes, shocks, struts, suspension, steering & preventative maintenance. Experience with broad range of cars & trucks. Able to operate a standard transmission.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma/GED and advanced education desired.
