What you'll be doing

The selected candidate will be responsible for product evolution and sustain initiatives for the line of HVAC valves and actuators. This role is critical to the business and interfaces manufacturing, purchasing, marketing and quality teams to maintain product manufacturability, cost, competiveness and integrity. Candidate must be a self-starter, demonstrate ability to multi-task and be able to learn new industry technologies and processes as required. Prior working experience in an R&D environment with electromechanical products and ability to complete projects on time and within budget is required. This position formally reports to the director of R&D.

What your background should be

3+ year managing technical staff, mechanical and/or electrical engineers. 5+ years managing complex technical projects with a proven track record. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Self driven, highly motivated and detail oriented qualities are a must. Strong desire to optimize team efficiencies and processes. Strong problem solving skills with ability to think outside the box. Knowledge of pro engineer or solidworks is a plus. Basic understanding of HVAC, valves and/or actuators is a plus. Experience with 8D corrective action, Six Sigma, FMEA and ISO is a plus.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor of science in mechanical or electrical engineering.
