What you'll be doing

Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, awarding and documenting purchases for IT services in support of a classified U.S. government program. This position compiles and analyzes data to perform price analysis and reviews proposals to establish price objectives. This role ensures that requirements (prime contract, quality, terms and conditions) are properly communicated to suppliers and fulfilled. This position is also responsible for managing supplier performance to cost, schedule and quality requirements. Assists in the development of bids and agreements. Executes to customer requirements including government regulations, public law and the company policies and procedures. Candidate must enjoy working in a classified program environment working within an integrated product team (IPT) located within a U.S. government facility. This position will be responsible for procuring a high volume of IT hardware, software and system maintenance for a major U.S. government contract. The program highly values employees that can provides exceptional purchasing turnover while maintaining quality procurement package documentation and compliance.

What your background should be

2+ years of applicable experience in purchasing/supply chain. Good interpersonal skills and with proven ability to successfully work on a team. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be computer-proficient in the use of MS Office Suite. Must be detailed-oriented and possess excellent time management skills. Ability to handle a high volume work load and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
