Principle Project Engineer

What you'll be doing: Manages technical teams in the execution of major projects. The primary work is experion PKS implementation on grass roots units and plant modernizations on various hydrocarbon processing, refining, oil & gas and chemical projects. Works with sales and marketing to ensure that project scopes, budgets and execution plans are in place prior to commencement. Directs teams of technical professional in the execution of projects. Interfaces with the customer in order to ensure that projects are executed within budget and schedule. Establishes professional relationships with customers to ensure that project requirements are fully defined and agreed upon. Manages all phases of projects from inception to closeout. Proactively manage change. Tracks and reports progress and financial data to management. Works with peers to streamline work processes within the organization. Proactively identifies potential quality and efficiency improvements based on lessons learned. Ensures that engineered solutions meet project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation. Directs implementation process at minimum cost by allocating work assignments to the project team.

What your background should be: 8 years of project experience in control or automation projects as a project engineer. 5 years experience in management of professional technical teams on industrial projects as a lead. Experience with PLC/DCS projects. Experience in industrial automation control design. Experience in industrial automation control implementation. Have a thorough understanding of process controls. Experience in technically managing projects with construction/field support content. Experience in technically managing multiple small projects. Experience in managing technical teams. Excellent communications skills. Ability to respond to and manage customers expectations.
