What you'll be doing

Perform daily quality assurance and safety procedures on the equipment and reports variances appropriately. Position, immobilize and align patients according to the treatment plan and effectively evaluate and assist in solving setup issues. Maintain an up to date daily treatment machine schedule and patient treatment calendar. Monitor patient's physical and physiological response and reactions to treatment and refers the patient for appropriate management as needed. Accurate documents all treatment delivery information into the department electronic medical record. Explain treatment procedure and maintains visible and audible communication with the patient during treatment. Participate in the simulation and planning of treatment with the radiation oncologist, clinical instruction and evaluation of radiation therapy technology students.

Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette. Strong written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in complex situations. Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of and compliance with confidentiality guideline and the company policy and procedure. Proficient technical knowledge and skill set that includes all equipment, tools and procedures specific to the assigned work area.

Required Schooling / Training

Graduate degree is required. AS or BS preferred.
