What you'll be doing
- Responsibilities student culture run student culture professional development sessions for all staff to include topics such as building relationships, upholding behavioral plans, issuing consequences productively, and proactive and reactive de-escalation strategies. Observes students/teachers across school and gives feedback on consistent behavior expectations, relationship building, and implementation of behavioral plans. Assists in setting student culture goals manage student support team. Sets vision and goals for student support team. Conducts weekly coaching sessions with social workers and dean of students. Leads weekly student support team meetings. Directs and holds team accountable in creation, observation, revision, and regular communication of individual behavioral plans. Manages referral system and delegate caseloads. Discipline analyzes discipline data (suspensions, class removals etc.) To generate next action steps. Proactively and reactively responds to major disciplinary issues worthy of in school or out of school suspension.
What your background should be
- Must have experience working with students in an urban environment. Must have a demonstrated track record of success in developing school culture. Must have a desire to be a part of a fun, team-oriented, mission-driven school. Must have a strong work ethic, and a sense of humor.
