What you'll be doing

Performs day-to-day underwriting functions with continued development of analytical skills. Exercises sound judgment regarding risk selection & pricing (engaging senior manager when needed). Engages and directs underwriting assistants to perform administrative support tasks as outlined. Ensures adherence to underwriting standards, objectives, and guidelines of program. Develops, grows, and maintains broker relationships. Recommends creative alternatives in regards to rating, coverage, etc. To advocate for good business. Helps organize and review files during audits by carrier partners. Develops an understanding of all programs and products at tangram to be an effective advocate. Actively manages book of business to reach production goals special projects as assigned.

What your background should be

2+ years of insurance experience. Strong communication skills. Able to interact professionally and effectively through both verbal and written communication with everyone.

Required Schooling / Training

College degree preferred.
