What you'll be doing
- The staffing coordinator is responsible for staffing of certified nursing assistants and/or licensed nurses. Assists director of nursing in staffing appropriately licensed/certified employees through preparation and maintenance of daily and monthly schedules as staffing needs arise. Identifies staffing needs to director of nursing and interacts to determine the desires of staff to aid in recruitment and retention. Responsible for ordering and stocking all medical supplies required for patient care. Maintains inventory and distributes supplies. Distributes supplies to multiple stock rooms for easy access by nursing staff. Required to label, track and identify select supplies for billing purposes. May be required to enter charges into billing system and maintain budgets for supply items. Follows all the company policies and procedures.
What your background should be
- Prior experience working with the elderly and in long-term care preferred. Strong oral and written communication and teaching skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Meets all health requirements imposed by law. Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with resident, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff. Minimum fundamental computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Kronos time management preferred.
