What you'll be doing
- The rehabilitation aide is responsible for carrying out specific individually designed rehabilitation programs for the resident. Responsible for maintenance of Rehab/Restorative supplies and equipment. Cares for and applies or supervises the application of orthoses,(braces), prostheses and any other appliance or assistive device. Provides hand on support to implement the specific individually designed rehabilitation program. Documents daily participation and completes monthly progress notes as needed. Demonstrates proper infection control techniques when administering care to prevent spread of infection and diseases. Recognizes and reports any changes in resident condition (physical mental emotional, social) to the charge nurse.
What your background should be
- Certified by the State of Illinois as a nurse assistant (federal and state law requirements). On the Illinois state nurse aide registry with proper credentials and a clear record. Current CPR certification. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Occupational rehab and physical rehab certified.
