What you'll be doing
- Managing day-to-day operations of a bioassay service laboratory. Effective long and short term planning for processing of work orders, monitoring reagent inventory and anticipated needs, and consolidating different projects to meet customer s deadlines. Closely monitoring daily workflows in the service lab, including assigning work orders, retrieving clinical samples, assay scheduling, assay performance assessment and final report review. Effectively managing sample inventory. Providing technical support through internal point of contact for all customers. Preparing the appropriate documentation required for customer reports, billing, and QA compliance. Providing written oral updates to supervisor and management. Serving as liaison with other managers and scientists in assay development, accounting, business, and QA departments.
What your background should be
- Two to eight years of experience of molecular biology immunology, biochemistry or a related biomedical science field. Understanding of ELISA development and optimization. Familiarity with molecular biology, cloning, protein expression, and purification desired. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work on projects independently. Ability to supervisor other scientist and cooperate with other department. Familiarity with Microsoft windows environment Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet. Experience with data analysis software i.e. SoftMax pro preferred. Proven success managing a research laboratory. Current state driving license. Satisfy criminal background check and drug screening per state requirements.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree required, master degree or Ph.D. degree preferred.
