What you'll be doing

Lead teams in the completion of continuous improvement projects within assigned areas of responsibilities. Utilize APQP tools and techniques to lead new product/process quality assurance teams with the goal of ensuring and confirming quality during change. Identify assignable causes of excess variation where a process is unstable or out of control and lead problem, solving teams to bring the process into control. Continuously improve the finished product quality assurance processes utilizing data through metrics focused on customer satisfaction & cost of quality. Participate in the development of FMEA's and control plans for the introduction of new products and programs. Ensure that SOS's and check sheets include all control plan requirements. Ensure assembly line problems communicated to the responsible parties in a clear, unbiased, data-driven method. Perform and/or facilitates root cause analysis and corrective action development and validation in conjunction with manufacturing, engineering and other relevant personnel. Actively participate in 5S activities and continuously strives for a visually acceptable workplace. Ensure that finished product quality assurance processes documented, implemented, adhered, and are effective in meeting engineering and customer requirements for products.

What your background should be

Minimum 5 years of progressive quality experience within a related OEM manufacturing environment preferred; open to environments that have a complex machining process. Minimum 3 years of experience supervising technicians/inspectors within production quality in a manufacturing environment.
