What you'll be doing

Prepare consolidated forecast, budget and CCAR stress testing results, including data delivery into the consumer and corporate database systems. This includes consolidation, review, and analysis based on information provided by the business line CFOs, assets / NII from investment accounting and AMG, surplus nii allocation, dividend and tax effects. Produce consolidated and LOB-specific reports, including GAAP and statutory income statements and balance sheets, and return on equity. Assist with development of the commentary of the company consumer forecast, budget and CCAR results to be delivered to senior management. Research and respond to consumer and company executive management questions related to budget and CCAR variances. Regularly review and facilitate process improvements to streamline the process including, but not limited to, data flow in and out of company databases. Assist with CCAR remediation and enhancements that improve timeliness, accuracy, and sustainability of analysis processes leveraging technology. Explain the reporting and financial effects of actuarial concepts, primarily DAC and reserves, to company customers. Develop and maintain effective internal relationships with the consumer finance team, supporting Finance functions and within the business unit. Develop strong product and business specific knowledge to improve analysis. Manage one employee.

What your background should be

The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of background in financial statement preparation and/or forecasting. Fellow in society of actuaries or casualty actuarial society preferred. Solid knowledge of consumer insurance products preferred (life, health, annuities, auto, warranty & personal property). Strong knowledge of fixed income investments and investment accounting preferred. Successful at managing and meeting project deadlines. Actuarial modeling experience is a plus. Strong technical expertise with uploading to and querying database systems. Solid working ability with accounting systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels and locations.
