What you'll be doing

Prepare and deliver effective lessons plans aligned with curricular goals. Manage and assess students progress in college level writing. Effectively address students challenges and questions, so as to ensure that all students are engaged and actively learning course material. Collaborate with administrators, specialists and other colleagues in designing, reviewing, and executing lessons. Adapt teaching and program content to students who are coming to the program with a broad range of educational experiences and college destinations. Grade all assignments and provide written feedback in a timely manner. Develop curriculum based on data from student assessments and adjust curriculum based on student needs. Report timely and accurate student data to management and parents (when appropriate). Monitor and ensure safety and compliance with behavioral guidelines for students.

What your background should be

Experience as a professor or teaching assistant in college writing course. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Strong instructional skills and classroom management. Experience administering and reporting student assessments. Demonstrated ability to write and execute individualized and classroom lesson plans.

Required Schooling / Training

Graduate degree preferred.
