What you'll be doing

Schedule work orders, preventative maintenance, equipment, employee vacations and training. Respond to emergencies that could cause injury or loss to production. Communicate/cooperate with vendors. Communicate verbally and in writing, any job related problems, job status and work history pertaining to the job. Monitor and review costs. Establish and maintain budgets. Assist in developing departmental and company procedures and policies. Administer corrective action. Enforce departmental and company policy. Enforce state and federal laws and environmental compliance. Conduct safety meetings, staff meetings and safety inspections. Interview prospective employees and conduct department orientation for new hires. Review salary exempt, non-exempt and hourly performance. Oversee new installation design, input of plant repair and new installations start-up. Communicate department status with supervision and interface with other departments.

What your background should be

At least 7 (seven) years of experience or 12 (twelve) years mining experience is required. Basic computer skills. Advanced in Microsoft suits Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Proficiency in multitasking. Ability to work extra hours.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor's degree.
