Interface with analytical genetics, genome informatics, and other team members in translational genetics to provide general computational biology and informatics support for translational genetics activities spanning the full range of genomic analyses. Prioritize markers discovered through genetic association studies by incorporating gene expression, epigenetic, and other omics data sets to provide functional genetic context for these discoveries. Detect and utilize expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) to identify causal relationships between genotype and phenotype. Examine gene expression phenotypes of in vitro and in vivo experiments used to validate candidate genes.
