What you'll be doing
- Manage and oversee the operations of the facility including managers, supervisors, maintenance, quality, process control, and production staff. Ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Comply with OSHA and company safety and hygiene standards. Analyze and organize office operations and procedures such as bookkeeping, preparation of payrolls, personnel, information management, filing systems, management of supplies, quoting, purchasing and other clerical services. Monitor operations to enhance productivity, effectiveness and efficiencies with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor and control costs. Responsible for plant budget. Responsible for screening, hiring, training, terminating, disciplining, promotion, demotion and evaluating personnel within span of control. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, target date, and completion of the production schedule and product changeover are achieved. Responsible for all state and federal compliance.
What your background should be
- 5+ years successful plant management experience required. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategies into operation objectives and projects. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to manage operational costs to a very strict budget. Must possess cross-functional abilities related to strong administrative skills as well as operationally “hands on” interaction on the shop floor.
Required Schooling / Training
- BA/BS degree
