What you'll be doing

Read engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and converse with team members to determine required outputs. Identify and perform tests at specified product development stages, and test product characteristics such as dimensional, performance, mechanical, electrical or chemical in nature. Evaluate data and write concise reports that can be used to validate or indicate required deviations from existing standards. Assist in product and process development by sourcing components, building and assembling parts, and testing and collecting pertinent data. Assist in debugging and trouble shooting electronic and electromechanical product designs. Successfully interact with a wide variety of people, including peers, vendors and customers. Prepare graphs or charts or data in a professional manner for analysis and review. Analyze part returns and conduct teardown analysis. Maintain prototype build and tracking sheets per the clients quality standards. Write inspection, work or process instructions. Maintain compliance to current ISO standards and customer specific requirements as applicable.

What your background should be

2 years of relevant work experience. Prefer experience with MS word and MS excel. HPVE, LabView or Orcad experience are a plus. Ability to perform mathematical analysis and understand simple statistical computations. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to trouble shoot complex electronic and mechanical systems.
