What you'll be doing
- The store team leader is responsible for every team member and event that takes place in the store. The store team leader provides guidance and direction to the store team in the areas of guest satisfaction, team/team member development, merchandising, inventory, cash control, human resources, safety, loss prevention and expense control, so that the store will operate effectively and profitably. Overall hirings and maintenances of all store team members, including supervisors. Maintains proper headcount through ongoing recruiting activities. Evaluates associates performance and coach them on performance-related problems and on the general development. Provides training to associates on a one-to-one basis on guest service, product knowledge, merchandising, selling skills, safe merchandising techniques and use of equipment. Develops and maintains a weekly team schedule in adherence allowing the store to operate with the required team members and within the allotted labor budget. Ensures timely payroll processing and administration. Motivates associates, foster teamwork and champion change when it occurs. Cultivate and role model best selling and service practices. Drives sales though activities such as guest engagement, product demonstrations, and suggestion selling in order to maximize the value of each guest visit. Ensures proper merchandising and signage of all sales floor areas, at all times. Supervises unloading of all trucks and flow of merchandise to sales floor or storage as appropriate. Ensures all transactions are accounted for through the proper handling of all cash, receipts, and reports. Ensures that night deposit is made in a timely fashion. Ensures all fixtures are in good repair and are set properly per fixture plan. Acts as a role model of appropriate loss prevention/risk management behavior and ensures associates are effectively trained in these areas. Executes all initiatives per company SOP.
