What you'll be doing
- The client company is currently looking for a command center specialist. This position is responsible for monitoring company mainframe systems and application software, and reporting and resolving any issues. In this vital role, you will provide first-level problem support for data transmissions. You will add value to the organization by performing a variety of duties, including guaranteeing control and normal terminations for all exception processing; examining production computer operation statuses; performing daily system backup and startup; and initiating corrective action plans according to established first-level problem resolution policies and procedures.
What your background should be
- The candidate should have 1 to 2+ years of technology experience. Ability to maintain frequent interaction with service partners and customers via telephone. Effective communication skills. Knowledge of mainframe systems and applications. Able to follow a predetermined plan/process performs basic and routine administration requiring basic knowledge of specified operational products/services. Possess a basic knowledge of JCL, Infoman, TSO, CA-7 job scheduling, mainview and automation tools while having a basic understanding of file transmissions, mainframe and network environments.
Required Schooling / Training
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
