What you'll be doing

Update job description, place advertisement, distribute application, keep a record of applicant, send out non selection letter and keep affirmative action record when hiring new employee. Complete reference and background check. Perform office duty. Assist in keeping personnel file up to date. Update employee emergency contact. Maintain adjunct faculty credential and teaching record. Prepare supplemental contract. Orientation of new employee. Maintain file directory. Set up college wide wellness screening. Schedule random drug and alcohol test. Assist HR director with investigation and report. Track employee evaluation and QFP plan. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

What your background should be

Two years of experience or a combination of related post secondary training and related work experience. Computer experience required with knowledge of spreadsheets desired. Ability to access, input and retrieve information from a computer for word processing, database information and access data on the college servers. Must maintain office confidentiality. Represent the college in a positive manner to employee, student, visitor and the general public. Must be enthusiastic and energetic in performance of assigned duties and responsibilities. Thorough knowledge of office procedures, telephone techniques and office equipment, as well as correct English usage, grammar, punctuation and arithmetic. Ability to efficiently perform tasks in an environment of frequent interruptions. Ability to assume responsibility, deal effectively with problems and exercise good judgment when making decisions.

Required Schooling / Training

Associate degree in related area required. Bachelor degree preferred.
