What you'll be doing

Participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of SH&E principles and values; champions safety as necessary. Learns customer service processes; trains on software, database and procurement programs. Handles specified customer service tasks as assigned. Coordinates net promoter score (NPS) customer surveys (local level). Provides single point of contact to customer for order processing for REC & DEL TT, handles paperwork involved; updates appropriate systems and databases. Performs inventory functions. Maintains and files completed orders; verifies and acts upon deviations for completed orders; performs basic research; reports on findings; generates order correction requests. Monitors truck shipments; acts on deviations including late arrivals or those that do not arrive. Enters data into PEPI (JDE) systems and other customer systems. Executes order corrections. Prepares special reports as requested; handles special projects requested by customer for process efficiencies. Participates in customer service improvement projects. Performs pricing integrity checks on contracts. Routes corrections on orders through appropriate management; inputs data. Assumes delegated responsibilities of CSR in their absence. Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of the customer service department. Seeks out market intelligence; performs market studies; analyzes information as requested. Assists in developing and implementing marketing plans for customer development. Assists in reviewing and analyzing contracts; including revenues and services analysis. Facilitates customer service improvement programs. Prepares investment proposals (IP). Participates in legislative and port authority meetings. Develops market share information’s, research on competitors, customers and market potential. Uses customer relationship metrics or other databases. Tracks and implements contract changes prior to renewal dates. Develops sales presentations and proposals. Writes contracts using standard contract templates and follows company procedures with the support of the commercial manager west coast. Fosters and participated in activities with local community groups to engage them and strengthen relationships. Logs complaints and inquiries to customer databases. Ensures accuracy of details in each contract and amendments. Ensures deviations from basic terms and conditions are communicated to appropriate parties. Ensures accuracy of contract commitment forms; communicates in accurate and timely manner to customer services. Manages contract information input and updating; communicates to appropriate staff. Monitors all data related to contract rate increases. Retains working knowledge of present and past contracts. Develops and maintains information and reports needed to manage sales functions. Maintains various books, reports and information; makes information available to department personnel as needed.

What your background should be

Minimum of 1 to 3 years marketing support experience. Excellent organizational skills; problem solver; ability to multi task. Experience in sales or customer service departments within the petroleum, petrochemical, chemical and related industries preferred. Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint; various email and internet programs and applications; computer based design experience preferred. Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written; listening skills. Ability to handle multi-tasking; thinks independently; proven ability to prioritize; organized. Good knowledge of customer agreements and contracts; understanding of customer key success factors for products stored with company; knowledge of custom logistic processes for products stored with company. High level of motivation; ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal direct supervision. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and deliverables for multiple tasks; well-developed project management skills.

Required Schooling / Training

College degree in business, finance, marketing or related fields.
