Operations Manager

What you'll be doing: Responsible for leading employees to ensure customer satisfaction. Monitor dock to ensure proper loading techniques. Conduct safety meetings and facilitate quality groups. Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies. Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information and setting appointments. Perform administrative functions such as printing delivery receipts, manifest shipments on a trailer, billing freight bills, trace shipments, etc. Communicate with account manager to ensure customers and company needs are met. Ensure all OS&D is identified and processed properly. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by management if required.

What your background should be: At least 3 years of experience in operational management. Strong background and work experience in finance. Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Knowledge of government contract management. Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives. Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
