What you'll be doing
- Adapts classroom work for the purpose of providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans within established lesson plans. Administers developmental testing programs and subject specific assessments etc. for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and developing individual learning plans. Advises parents and legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; students achievements; developing methods for improvement and reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment. Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations and goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents and administration. Collaborates with instructional staffs, other school personnels, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes, achieving established classroom objectives in support of the school improvement plans. Counsels students for the purpose of improving performances, health status, problem solving techniques and a variety of personal issues. Directs assistant teachers, student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers and student workers for the purpose of providing an effective classroom programs and addressing the needs of individual students. Models conversations, manners, clean up activities, listening skills etc. for the purpose of demonstrating appropriate social and interpersonal behavior.
What your background should be
- The applicant should have experience in related field. Must have problem solving skills. Basic knowledge in computer skills. Advanced in Microsoft Suits like Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Multitasking ability. Illinois professional educator license. High levels of proficiency (speaking, reading and writing) in both English and Spanish. Expertise in using best instructional practices, such as standards-based teaching, instructional assessment, cooperative learning and differentiated instruction.

- Bachelor degree in job related area.
