What you'll be doing
- The selected candidate will perform duties as a F-35 supportable low observable (SLO) technician. The candidate will be responsive to the aircraft maintenance need of assigned government and contractor personnel. The incumbent will act as interface to the customer in resolving issues arising from operations, maintenance and other logistics support activities involving the SLO and structures systems. The candidate will assist with repair dispositions of the LO system. Fully and completely document all unusual LO maintenance problems and ensure the contractor is apprised of and can identify emerging failure trends. Provide familiarization training to service personnel on F-35 LO and structure systems when requested.
What your background should be
- Must have 4 years of related experience with LO maintenance procedures on military aircraft. The candidate must have experienced in aircraft maintenance processes and understand the interrelationships of aircraft LO material inspection, documentation methods and tools. Must have experienced in F-35B aircraft airframes mechanic course, composite and structural mechanic low observables courses. Knowledge in computer skills.
Required Schooling / Training
- Associate degree or equivalent.
