What you'll be doing

Create and execute or oversee the seasonal source strategy for the segment of company product line under category. Be an active participant and help facilitate timely development and commercialization of the seasonal product category by managing timelines of entire team and assisting CCM with managing the group. Drive the costing and development process with the product category team and liaison offices. Utilize costing skills to negotiate prices from a position of knowledge. Collaborate effectively with co-workers across all work related functions and departments. Monitor on an ongoing basis the quality and delivery performance of the factory source base producing product category styles. Be a leader for continuous process improvement. Participate on projects or issues that develop that impact sourcing, costing, product development production flow and other related manufacturing areas. Keep current on trade agreements and pending trade regulations that may impact the course of company product source decisions. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Minimum 8+ years of experience in sourcing, planning, merchandising or product development. Work experience directly related to the management of sourcing, costing and product development is desired. Demonstrated ability to lead others. Knowledge of global sourcing options or garment construction specifically related to the apparel and textile industry. Comprehensive understanding of global trade agreements and trade regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various levels of management and employees within the organization as well as vendors and worldwide personnel are required. Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of sourcing and developers at different levels of ability.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor's degree.
