What you'll be doing
- Installing, maintaining, and configuring windows systems to include desktops, laptops, and servers. Troubleshooting and working with vendors in support of hardware. Implementing operating system enhancements, to improve the reliability and performance of the systems, to include DoD STIG implementation and patching of systems. Documenting configuration environment including OS and hardware models and any changes to the environment and systems. Managing active directory infrastructure supporting user authentication in a heterogeneous environment. Managing DoD CAC/PKI infrastructure. Assisting with implementation of disaster recovery strategies and fail over operations for remote COOP sites. Also responsible for performing other duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Minimum 6 years of experience with basic windows commands with educational degree or 10 total years of experience in lieu of degree. Three years of specialized experience providing technical and end-user assistance on computer, hardware and application software support required. Solid understanding of analytical needs and a demonstrated ability to follow-up with customer/users for proper use and recommendations regarding the system required. Previous experience with Microsoft SharePoint and SQL preferred. Experience with configuration and management of a VMWare ESXi environment preferred. Microsoft OS certification and CISSP certification preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree required.
