What you'll be doing

Work closely with the national SCM support teams, the regional outlook manager is responsible for executing the marketing strategy into deliverable products for regional company customers. Based on a thorough understanding of customer requirements, the regional outlook manager supports the region's sales team to define customer specific service work scopes based on contractual obligations, and manages the implementation process for new accounts. A key part of the process involves meeting with customers, operations, sales, engineering, MIS, and other support organizations to shepherd development and communicate the merits and features of the program. The incumbent is responsible for the ongoing management of current customers utilizing SCM technologies to insure the established service model satisfies the work scope and service related contractual obligations. The incumbent will work with regional sales and operations management to develop and implement enhancements to existing SCM account work scopes, which will increase sales, improve profitability, and reduce operational costs. The incumbent will also support the implementation of various marketing initiatives to achieve regional company profit, growth, operational efficiency, and sales objectives. The incumbent will work with regional personnel to implement training programs related to supply chain tools, conducting customer presentations, and servicing customers utilizing any supply chain tools. Assist sales associates in identifying new potential SCM prospects; develop and implement strategies to acquire as well as solidify and enhance existing client relationships, to include renewals. Assist with the following type of program support; pre-qualification criteria, sales presentation, proposal preparation, cost model analysis, risk assumption recommendations, work scope agreements, contracts, commercial guidelines and recommendations. Recommend pricing of SCM offerings based on P&L evaluation of work scopes and the value delivered to the client. Assist national SCM team in the development of site specific SCM service programs which may include inventory management tools such as business, AIM TM, vending machines, VMI, and on-site service programs. Work within a matrix organization tasked with executing a complex supply and distribution work scope. Carrie out supervisory responsibilities of any direct reports in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Within the context of the region's SCM program, responsibilities include the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees directly involved in the execution of the programs.

Conceptual selling ability, knowledge of consultative selling skills. Solid time management and organizational skills. Broad product knowledge of company product mix. Road operational knowledge of company processes. Broad knowledge of company customer's supply chain. Broad knowledge of supply chain management and VMI activities. Solid communication and presentation skills. Solid computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database programs). Understanding of basic financial concepts. Project management experience preferred. Team player with the ability to manage by influence. Collaboration and delegation skills. Ability to set goals and motivate self and others to achieve these goals. Comprehensive understanding of the company sales concept. Some overnight travel required. Must have valid driving license.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
