What you'll be doing
- The candidate is responsible for the provision of mental health assessment and counseling service to targeted population group at assigned clinical site. Demonstrate awareness of transference and counter transference issue and address them as they arise. Demonstrate clinical skills and judgment necessary to implement the treatment plan. Participate in the development of client individualized care plan in a timely manner and document all assessment and counseling service in medical record and on clinic encounter form, also in a timely manner. Responsible for actively utilizing clinical supervision or peer consultation. Work within a trans disciplinary framework to ensure physical health needs are addressed. Address co-occurring disorder, factoring them into client treatment plan. Communicate and correspond with outside agency, authority and institution in a timely manner, as evidenced by documentation. Connect client to internal or external resource as appropriate and as evidenced by documentation. Perform other related duties or completes special project assignments as requested by the supervisor.
What your background should be
- Current CA clinical licensure in social work or as a clinical psychologist. Reliable transportation, valid driving license and proof of auto insurance as required by law. Bilingual (Spanish or English) preferred. Experience in provision of counseling services to varying population groups.
Required Schooling / Training
- Masters degree in social work or PhD in psychology.
