What you'll be doing

Provide technical expertise as a team leader or member on a variety of projects and programs and may act as a technical consultant for management. The candidate will be a point of contact for external customers for overall project status, standards, etc. In addition, the successful candidate will act as a mentor to lower level engineers. Analyze fatigue crack growth and fracture, including effects of operating environment. Assess structural life, supporting new designs and service related difficulties. Generate and manage material property data.

What your background should be

Minimum 8 years of critical parts lifing experience. Knowledge of aerospace mechanical products and material systems. Demonstrated experience in leading or managing test programs. Expert understanding in damage tolerance and sensitivity of structures to damage. Expert knowledge of one or more of the following fracture mechanics software packages: FRANC3D, DARWIN, NASGRO.

Required Schooling / Training

Master/doctorate degree in materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
