What you'll be doing

Record all gifts and grants to the school in the senior systems database system. Provide daily gift update and draft and disseminate all gift acknowledgement letters. Draft and disseminate all annual giving and campaign pledge reminders. Assist the benefit auction project manager with the recording and acknowledgement of auction items, underwriting, and auction purchases much of this work will be done in the greater giving database system. Assist other project managers with recording and acknowledgment of cash or philanthropic gifts. Produce (and disseminate, when necessary) monthly gift reports, pledge reminders, pledge status reports, and other documents as needed to document the flow of philanthropic income to the school. Reconcile all philanthropic giving with the school's general ledger. Inventory and purchase (if necessary) all advancement office supplies and equipment. Assist advancement office colleagues with their duties during peak periods. Assist as necessary with school-wide projects such as innovative learning conference. Other duties as assigned by the director of advancement.

What your background should be

Extensive data entry / management experience with advancement/development database systems. Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel and Word. Basic accounting skills, or willingness to learn them.
