What you'll be doing

Provide system administration and software support for field exploitation systems within the ATOMICRAFT program. Provide Linux system setup and management for both physical and virtual operating systems (OS). Provide manual and automated system management across widely dispersed Linux systems. Communicate with system administrators and software developers gather requirements and implement solutions. Automate system administration functionality (e.g., provide automatic patch installation). Harden and configure systems based on requirements. Work with developers of existing systems to understand how they want their current systems to be virtualized. Provide documentation for accomplished processes and procedures (e.g., OS setup, configuration and use of management tools).

What your background should be

Minimum 5 years of experience in administering LINUX/UNIX systems. Experience provisioning systems, configuring systems, patching and managing systems, and securing/hardening systems. Administer virtual machines. Create documentation to outline process and procedures. Experience with Linux firewall configuration (ip tables) NAT and gateway setup. Remote server management and server certificates (environment specific), encryption and secure protocols. Experience developing, deploying, and updating software and Java, C++, and C.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
