What you'll be doing
- The director, business development is responsible for market analysis and planning, generating leads and securing rehabilitation contracts with independently owned facilities. He/she is also responsible for providing start-up coordination for all new business, for supporting marketing efforts that target current external business and for maintaining positive public relations. Assume responsibility for securing rehabilitation contracts with independently owned facilities (SNF, ALF home health, outpatient clinics, hospitals, etc.). Generate new business leads through cold calls, marketing analysis/targeting key accounts and trade show operations. Maintain positive public relations through professional association membership, association committee membership and trade shows. Assume responsibility for coordination of new business start-up, including facility assessment and customer service, while simultaneously supporting ongoing marketing efforts that target external clients. Generate contact specific and formal monthly sales reports. Assist area directors by overseeing contract and proposal preparation. Assume responsibility for meeting annual new business budget goals as set by sr. vice president customer relations and strategic development. Promote all genesis health care network products and services whenever possible. Perform other related duties as requested.
What your background should be
- Three years of direct healthcare sales experience or two years of rehabilitation experience is required. Thorough knowledge of Medicare and other third party reimbursement is preferred. Ability to travel throughout assigned territory required.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in business, marketing or a healthcare related field.
