What you'll be doing
- Provide technical and public affairs expertise to support the client safety initiative DoN-wide and support improving communication to safety professionals throughout the DoN. Coordinate, implement, and document intra-and inter-agency meetings and ensure situational awareness by monitoring and disseminating vital daily media and internal safety information. Maintain responsibility for planning, coordinating, and implementing, DoN, DoD, and other agencies executive level ceremonies and recognizing outstanding safety performance across DoN. Provide protocol, technical, and analytical support to develop strategic communications plans on mishap prevention, risk management, safety professional personnel issues, and other topics and perform special studies in support of high-level performance requirements in the area of operational and occupational safety and safety system.
What your background should be
- Required 7+ years of experience with DoD public affairs, protocol, and outreach planning. Experience with communications and public affairs. Secret clearance required. Experience in engaging with GS15, O6, and above preferred. Must have good communication skills.
