What you'll be doing

Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician. Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity. Prepares and administers contrast media as required. Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary. Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedures and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills. Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

What your background should be

The applicant should have experience in related field. Requires strenuous physical effort. Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients. May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
