What you'll be doing

Interpret customer drawings, specifications and workmanship standards in order to develop a quote bill of material for customer assemblies requiring cost estimates. Determine material cost and accurate lead times for quoted assemblies utilizing MRP system, sourcing coordination with purchasing and personal expertise. Develop certifiable labor estimate for quoted assemblies utilizing labor template, personal expertise and production coordination if necessary. Perform complete technical assessment for each project quoted. Provide complete technical assessment, including cost estimate spreadsheet to sales for completion of the client quotation. Communicate design concerns, drawing errors, interpretation issues and manufacturability enhancements to customer technical contacts as necessary.

What your background should be

Minimum 4 years of experience in an aerospace cable assembly manufacturing engineering environment required. Able to work effectively in a fast paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment. Prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a high pace and responsive environment. Excellent personal computing skills, particularly Microsoft office. Able to read and interpret documentation from all customers within sales division. Understand components, processes, equipment, standards and terminology used in cable assembly production.

Required Schooling / Training

B.S. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
