What you'll be doing

Partners with division, area, region and corporate leadership to determine strategic objectives for the corporation to include customer retention, customer prospecting, customer experience and revenue management strategies. Works with region, area and division municipal services managers to achieve new sales and retention goals, as well as to improve the quality of revenue in the municipal services line of business. Manages sales performance and customer interaction through a leading CRM tool. Works with each region and area to develop and implement the municipal sales plans that meet the short and long term strategic goals of the area. Secures resources to support implementation. Analyzes and customizes municipal sales force structure against defined sales opportunities in the defined marketplace. Analyzes and synthetizes municipal sales department goals with company-wide goals and takes proactive measures to improve sales performance. Monitors, gathers data, and analyzes the effectiveness of various government, sales, and marketing programs and initiatives and provides effective feedback to relevant departments. Provides strategic vision and oversees implementation of municipal sales strategy to operational leadership and sales executives. Performs review and analysis of pre-implementation and post-implementation operating data to support the development of accurate pro forma models.

What your background should be

At least 8 years of experience leading sales teams, that includes progressive management responsibility, in a Fortune 500 company. Ability to ask high gain questions, engage in active listening, and probe for information. Ability to translate sales team issues into new ideas. Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient manner. Good communication skills (presentation skills, verbal, written, etc.); is able to effectively communicate to all levels of management, both internally and externally. Excellent self-motivation skills; maintains a feeling of pride in work; has a strong work ethic and strives to achieve all goals; is competitive and has a strong desire to win; takes appropriate risks. Strong, proven experience managing in a matrix organization across a large geographic area.

Required Schooling / Training

Master degree.
