Director of Sales and Marketing

What you'll be doing: Ensures business plans are achieved and grows profit and consumption in the marketplace. Focuses on trends and developing programs with primary focus on marketing and execution. Works with vice president/general manager to establish sales and marketing goals to increase share of market and profitability of products or services. Develops and executes sales and marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, through managers to ensure that established sales, profit growth and expansion strategies and objectives are achieved. Evaluates the performance of each level of sales and service activities and works with departmental management to rectify deficiencies. Ensures collective bargaining agreements are followed accordingly through managers. Communicates with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns. Supervises all sales and service personnel and ensures proper and effective execution of their duties. Ensures that all sales, marketing, and service departments are in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws that govern the organization. Conducts business reviews with key customers. Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and share of market performance in relation to pre-set standards and to general and specific trends within the industry and the economy. Ensures effective control of sales and marketing results within designated budgets.
