What you'll be doing

The client company is actively seeking a computer programmer/engineer. This position is responsible to function as a team member in the design, development, troubleshooting, testing, and analysis of medium scale software projects, usually involving military applications. The candidate will prepare software requirements, designs, programming, and documents for three-tier web-based applications. Develop plan for detailed analysis of computer program code, documentation, and output to insure validity, consistency, and conformance to applicable standards. Design and execute computer program test cases, analyze output for validity, and document results. Mentor junior level programmers and maintain configuration control of new applications using MS team foundation server during the development, implementation, upgrades, and maintenance phases. S/he will comply with the hardware and software systems standards and procedures specified by customers. Assist in the development of user training and user guides for implementing software programs based on user requirements. Contribute to technical reports for technical presentations and meetings. Provide input on technical content for the development of proposals, and level of effort for the proposed scope of work. The incumbent may provide technical leadership to a small group of employees for a given project, contract or job. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

What your background should be

The candidate must have at least 4 years of job-related experience or equivalent. S/he should have excellent communications and analytical skills; demonstrated working knowledge of SQL database design, database development, database application methodologies, and web service database driven applications experience in the following programming languages/environments: C#, VB, dot Net, SQL, Java, MS SQL Server, MS Windows active directory and integrated Microsoft software application programs.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent to related field
